DISH Network offers one of the largest channel lineups you’ll find on any cable or satellite provider. With over 300 channels available, you can find virtually any kind of entertainment across its four plans and add-on packages.

Live sports are a top concern for many viewers, and DISH almost hits a home run in that department. It’s not perfect, though, so read on to learn everything you need to know about watching live sports on DISH.

How much does DISH cost?

DISH Network offers four plans, with prices ranging from $84.99 a month to $114.99 a month. The base plan, America’s Top 120, includes 190 channels, while the top plan, America’s Top 250, includes more than 290 channels.

DISH also offers a variety of add-ons for local channels, extra-national and regional sports, news, premium channels, and more. Pricing ranges from $5 to $12 a month, so it’s fairly easy to customize your plan for an affordable price.

Overall, you pay for what you get with DISH. It’s one of the more expensive cable/satellite providers on the market, but it offers one of the best channel lineups you can buy.

DISH sports channels

With so many plan options, it’s possible to get over 300 channels on DISH. If sports are your focus, that includes:

What sports add-on channels and channel packs does DISH offer?

To get most of the above sports offerings, you’ll need more than just the basic package. DISH offers a few sports-specific add-ons for fans who want more action.

Pro sports channels on DISH

DISH offers an excellent selection of the top pro sports channels. With channels like ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, FS2, NFL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, and NHL Network, many of the top pro leagues in North America are covered.

Live sports action isn’t limited to North America on DISH, either. With networks like beIN Sports, USA, and CBS Sports Network, you can follow soccer and other international sports from top leagues across the world.

College sports channels on DISH

DISH also offers a fair amount of college sports coverage in its plans. With channels like ACCN, Big Ten Network, ESPNU, SEC Network, Longhorn Network, and Pac-12 Network, you can keep up with action from many of the top college conferences in the U.S.

Overall, DISH is comparable to many of its competitors in both college and pro sports.  However, it is missing a few notable channels, such as the Golf Channel and MAV TV.

Regional sports networks on DISH

Regional sports networks (RSNs) are DISH’s weakest link. Currently, the service doesn’t offer any RSNs, and that means you’d need to add an over-the-top subscription to keep up with your local teams. This puts DISH behind competitors like DIRECTV and Spectrum.

Is DISH’s channel list worth it?

Overall, DISH is a great choice for sports fans who want a traditional satellite package. Across its four plans and add-ons, it’s possible to get dozens of sports networks, and there’s a nice mix of pro and college coverage available. However, DISH’s lack of RSNs may be a deal-breaker for fans who want to keep up with their local teams. The good news is that DISH offers contract-free plan options, so you can try it without a long-term commitment if you’re still on the fence.
