Sportsnaut is the most powerful name in sports.
Sportsnaut officially launched on January 27, 2014, with one goal: to cover the big and little stories in sports without agenda or bias. Focusing on common sense and the facts.
The site is rooted in the tradition of Nolan Ryan’s brush-back pitches, Guy Lafleuer’s no-helmet hockey, Larry Bird’s short shorts, the Dale Earnhardt bump-and-spin out, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson’s dancin’, and Bert Blyleven’s non-existent pitch counts. Oh, and when Official Scorers in Major League Baseball would call an error an error. See, common sense.
In 2019, Sportsnaut was acquired by The Publisher Desk and those traditions expanded with expertise, access, and the style of content created.
Sportsnaut today specializes in NFL, NCAA Football, NBA, Golf, NCAA Basketball, MLB, NHL, and NASCAR. The site delivers comprehensive news, lists, videos, and more daily. All are served up in an entertaining and engaging product that is user-friendly, relevant, and informative.
Sportsnaut remains funded by The Publisher Desk via ads and where noted in articles by affiliate links. Find out more about The Publisher Desk.

Matt Weaver is a former dirt racer turned motorsports journalist. He can typically be found perched on a concrete wall at a local short track on Saturday nights and within world-class media centers on Sunday afternoons. There isn’t any kind of racing he hasn’t covered over the past decade.
