Amid all of the quarterbacks changing teams during NFL free agency, things remain quiet on Justin Fields. The former Chicago Bears first-round pick will be traded here soon.

The question is his market.

The Atlanta Falcons (Kirk Cousins) and Pittsburgh Steelers (Russell Wilson) were both linked to Fields before adding veterans on the open market.

So, where does this leave the 25-year-old Fields?

According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the trade market for Fields is evolving with interest from multiple teams around the NFL.

A first-round pick of the Bears in the 2021 NFL Draft, Fields has had an up-and-down first three seasons in the NFL.

He’s thrown 40 touchdowns compared to 30 interceptions in 38 career starts, boasting a 10-28 record in the process. The Ohio State product has also tallied 2,220 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. That included putting up 1,143 rushing yards with eight scores back in 2022.

A report earlier on Tuesday indicated that the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles are two teams to watch when it comes to Fields’ trade market. Both landing spots would have him as a backup with Anthony Richardson as QB1 in Indianapolis and Jalen Hurts doing his thing with the Eagles.

Right now, there really aren’t many landing spots in which Fields would be able to compete for a starting job. Such is the nature of the beast when it comes to being on the trade block during NFL free agency.

We’ve already seen multiple veteran quarterbacks sign during the legal tampering period. That includes Gardner Minshew (Las Vegas Raiders), Jameis Winston (Cleveland Browns), Jacoby Brissett (New England Patriots), Mitch Trubisky (Buffalo Bills), Drew Lock (New York Giants), Marcus Mariota (Washington Commanders) and Sam Darnold (Minnesota Vikings).

Of this group, Minnesota might make the most sense. It lost the aforementioned Kirk Cousins to Atlanta. There is certainly a need for competition with Darnold.
