Former NFL Pro Bowler Antonio Brown arrested in Florida

Seven-time NFL Pro Bowler Antonio Brown continues to make news off the field for all the wrong reasons. The 35-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers star was arrested in Florida over the weekend due to allegedly failing to pay child support.

WPLG in Florida reports that Brown’s arrest stemmed from the Miami-Dade Police Department having previously issued a warrant after Brown allegedly failed to pay child support to his ex, Wiltrice Jackson. Jackson tells TMZ Sports that Brown owes her nearly $31,000.

A sixth-round pick of Pittsburgh out of Central Michigan back in 2010, Brown was previously hit with a warrant in Florida back in April.

Brown and Jackson have a history with one another that includes law enforcement. In 2019 when he was briefly a member of the New England Patriots, Jackson accused Brown of domestic battery. Charges were never filed in that case.

Once one of the most-productive receivers in the NFL, Brown’s career took a turn to on-field and off-field antics. He found himself in a rift with then-Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back in 2018 before ultimately being traded to the Raiders.

Brown did not suit up in a single game for the Raiders after calling out general manager Mike Mayock. He then landed with the Patriots in 2019, playing only one game before being released.

After latching on with the Buccaneers in 2020, Brown was released by that team during the 2021 campaign due to leaving the field during a game with the New York Jets. He then called out then-Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians and quarterback Tom Brady.
