“We were hoping he’d be able to get some reps in today, but it just wasn’t the case,” LaFleur said. “We just want to make sure that he’s at his best possible self for Sunday in terms of how he’s feeling.”
LaFleur said Rodgers attended practice Friday and relayed calls to No. 2 quarterback Jordan Love.
Rodgers made a point to tell the public his toe was fractured and it wasn’t a case of “COVID toe,” a condition of the coronavirus that leads to lesions and discoloration of the toes. Rodgers, who is unvaccinated, tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month and missed one game.
The reigning NFL MVP has thrown for 2,571 yards with 21 touchdowns and four interceptions in 10 games this season.
Running back Aaron Jones (knee), linebacker Rashan Gary (elbow) and receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) are questionable and cornerback Kevin King (knee, hip) is doubtful for Green Bay.
