Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is among the proactive at his position during the NFL Draft. He’s proven this over and over again during his long tenure in Philadelphia.
We don’t expect this to change with the 2024 NFL Draft set to get going here soon. Previous reports indicated that Philadlephia would like to trade up from the 22nd pick in the annual event.
There are some potential targets, including the offensive line and cornerback. They could also go luxury in targeting the best-player available in a trade-up scenario.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Eagles are being aggressive in trade-up talks with other teams as the draft approaches.
“The Eagles are calling everyone it feels like trying to move up. They’re one of the more aggressive teams,” unnamed general manager on Philadelphia Eagles.
Again, this shouldn’t be considered too much of a surprise. Roseman has fellow general managers on speed dial during drafts. His MO is pretty clear by this point.

Philadelphia Eagles trade targets in the 2024 NFL Draft
Philadelphia is obviously targeting a certain position or a couple positions in trade-up scenarios. You don’t simply look to move up without having a specific plan in place. Roseman has too much experience to do that. Here’s a look at three potential options.
- Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo: Mitchell has been ascending draft boards leading up to Round 1 on Thursday night. He’s seemingly as pro-ready as any cornerback in the draft class and could be an immediate impact performer. With Darius Slay and James Bradberry not getting any younger, a move up for Mitchell could make sense.
- Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington: We know how much Roseman values versatility on the Eagles’ offensive line. Landon Dickerson playing guard after excelling at center for Alabama is a prime example of this. Fautanu can play both guard and tackle positions, leading to an immediate upgrade as it relates to depth.
- Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama: Back to cornerback for a second. The overriding question in Phildelphia has to be whether to target a Day 1 impact player or go upside. While Mitchell would be able to make an immediate impact, Arnold has much more upside. He’s a former five-star recruit and dominated SEC competition for the Crimson Tide.
