WATCH: New York Jets’ Mike White throws TD, seemingly injures himself celebrating

New-York-Jets-Mike-White

New York Jets quarterback Mike White is coming off an absolutely spectacular NFL starting debut last week in a 34-31 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Replacing injured rookie No. 2 pick Zach Wilson under center, the former Dallas Cowboys fifth-round pick completed 37-of-45 passes for 405 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

White appeared to be back up to his old tricks Thursday night against the Colts in Indianapolis. The small-school product completed 7-of-11 passes in the first quarter, including this 19-yard touchdown strike to Elijah Moore.

In typical Jets fashion, it appears that Mike White actually hurt himself celebrating the touchdown. Check out the young quarterback go full gunslinger in his celebration.

Unfortunately, White ended up being checked out in the Jets’ medical tent after being scene holding his wrist. Seriously, we can’t make this stuff up.

We’ll have further updates on the injury. But for now, this can’t be seen as a good thing for a Jets squad attempting to get its second win in five days.
