Jordan Spieth is a three-time Major winner in the PGA Tournament. The 30-year-old Texan has gone head-to-head with some of the best golfers in the world.

But it has not been great for Spieth recently. Prior to finishing in the top 10 of his last event at the Valero Texas Open earlier in April, Spieth had missed the cut in the past two tournaments.

He tied for 30th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and was disqualified at the Genesis Invitational prior to that. It’s a far cry from opening the PGA season with a top-three finish at The Sentry.

Spieth’s struggles continued at the 2024 Masters Tournament. After finishing even par to open the tournament on Thursday, Spieth was in his own head on Friday. It was an absolute disastrous performance from the star golfer, one that will lead to him missing the cut.

The veteran opened with a double-bogey in his first go-round for the day. After mixing birdies and bogeys over the next several holes, Spieth went to the par-five 15th at two-over for the day. That’s the projected cut. What followed was a fail of epic proportions.

We’re talking about a quadruple bogey. Check out every shot of the set. It’s hard to watch.

Those of us who are not necessarily good on the green can understand what Spieth was going through. But he certainly seemed to get into his own head on that hole.
