How low can you go? That’s a question not only for the players teeing off Thursday at The Masters but for sports bettors looking at Masters odds, trying to decide whether to bet on World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
An overwhelming favorite to win The Masters at +400 (BetMGM, ESPN Bet, and FanDuel) to +450 (DraftKings), Scheffler won the 2022 Masters, his lone triumph in a major, and finished tied for 10th last year.
He and Rory McIlroy were co-favorites at +700 in 2023, with Jon Rahm at +900.

Odds To Win The Masters
Behind Scheffler is a betting consensus lineup of Rory McIlroy, defending Masters champ Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, and Hideki Matsuyama.
The case for McIlroy and Matsuyama is to embrace the recency bias. Both played in last week’s Texas Valero Open and closed with impressive rounds on the weekend.
McIlroy, still chasing his career grand slam after collecting the PGA, US Open, and Open Championship by 2014, has fiercely targeted Augusta this season. His 6-under 66 last Sunday vaulted him to a solo third-place finish in Texas.
Matsuyama has a Masters title, winning in 2021, and last Saturday carded a 66 to help him reach a tie for seventh at the Valero.
Rahm, who left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf riches, is also in good form, and Schauffele has finished among the top five in three of his past four starts – including a T-2 at The Players Championship.

The 2024 Masters Long Shots
A case can certainly be made for Joaquin Neimann, a guy who finished tied for 16th at the 2023 Masters and whose play off the tee is exemplary.
At Augusta last year, Neimann gained more than five strokes on his tee shots.
His price of +2800 – the eighth pick of DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM – means he’s not really a player who would rattle the minds of golf fans, but in a Sunday duel with Scheffler, rooting for the +2800 payoff feels better than sweating a +400 chalk choice.
A consistent player who knows Augusta well, Russell Henley fits the mold of a great player at a long-shot price.
Henley, who finished fourth last week at the Valero Open, is +5500 at DraftKings, +6000 at BetMGM, and +6500 at FanDuel.
Henley played at the University of Georgia, knows The Masters routine as well as anyone, and has a nice string of quality performances at the legendary course.
In his past six appearances at the Masters, Henley has finished T31, 21, T11, T15, T30, and then a tie for fourth at the 2023 event.
Among the other players who could win at a very nice price are two red-hot competitors who dueled in a playoff at the Valero Open.
Both the winner, Akshay Bhatia, and the runner-up, Denny McCarthy, flexed next-level skills in carding 20-under finishes. Both players are listed between +9000 and +12000 odds at the leading sportsbooks.
