During the second quarter of Game 5 Monday night, Tristan Thompson and David West got into quite a heated shoving match.
The Golden State Warriors were in the middle of a 16-0 run when West went into Thompson going after a loose ball. West got a quick technical, then he got bumped by J.R. Smith. At this point, West and Thompson started getting into a more heated argument, which is where the shoving occurred.

Referees had to separate the two players, both of whom earned technical fouls on the exchange, along with Smith.

At this point in the game, the Warriors had a 60-45 lead, so it’s understandable the Cavaliers were so heated. In an elimination game, they have everything to lose, and they were getting thrashed. Curry made it a 16-point game with a made free throw on the technical, with just over three minutes left in the second quarter.
