Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having the best start to a season for a quarterback in the Super Bowl era.
After having thrown 10 touchdowns in the first two games, the second-year quarterback was back to doing his thing at home against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
With his Chiefs facing third-and-goal from the four-yard line Sunday, Mahomes faced a ton of pressure from San Francisco’s pass rush. He scrambled all the way back outside the 49ers’ 20-yard line before hitting Chris Conley on this absolutely remarkable touchdown.

There’s legitimately nothing the 49ers’ defense could have done about this. They blew up the initial play from the get just to watch Mahomes pull some wizardry.
It was an absolutely insane play from the young quarterback and tells us a story of a player that’s simply performing at an elite level. One might say, it was Brett Favre-type stuff.
