Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars needed a spark Sunday against the New York Jets. Down by 10 points in the fourth quarter, Bortles took matters into his own hands.
The quarterback kept the ball on a read-option. He got loose and worked his way down the field before being pushed toward the right sideline. Rather than run out of bounds to avoid contact, however, Bortles sought it out, trucking the defender standing in his way.

The defender who suffered the wrath of Bortles was defensive back Justin Burris. As fate would have it, Bortles’ garbage-time run did not result in anything positive for the Jaguars, however. After the drive stalled, Jason Myers missed the 52-yard field goal that would have made it a one-score game.
Jags gonna Jags.
