Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill carted off the field late in Week 6 game vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Tennessee Titans could be without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill for several weeks after he suffered an injury that required being carted off the field.

The Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans opened Week 6 in the NFL with a matchup in London, England on Sunday morning in the United States. The game was a pivotal one for each as both teams looked to bounce back from losses in Week 5.

After a rough first half in which they only managed three points, the Titans’ offense finally started to get a little momentum and was able to get within five points at 18-13. After closing the gap, the Tennessee defense was able to again get a stop and hand the offense back the ball.

Unfortunately, the veteran quarterback’s rough season continued as he tossed his fifth interception of the season. It was another low point in a day where Tannehill had yet to surpass 100 yards threw the air after nearly three quarters. Yet, it only got worse from there.

Not long after tossing that interception, Ryan Tannehill limped off the field to be evaluated by the team’s medical staff. After getting looked over, he was seen being carted off the field and likely being taken to the locker room for X-rays. Reports claim it is an ankle injury that knocked the 35-year-old out of the game.

It is unclear if a specific play in the third quarter caused the ankle injury or if it is something he has been dealing with for some time and it got exceedingly worse during the game on Sunday. He was replaced in the game by second-year man Malik Willis.

Tannehill is in the midst of one of his worst seasons as the starting QB for the Titans. He has just two touchdowns to five INTs, and his passer rating and QB rating are the lowest during his tenure with the team.
