Despite their disastrous season, the New York Jets are not planning any sweeping changes within the organization. This means that both head coach Todd Bowles and general manager Mike Maccagnan will return for the 2017 season.
Jets just confirm Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan will be back in 2017.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. After all, reports in December indicated Bowles would definitely be back for the 2017 campaign (more on that here).
We can pretty much attribute the Jets’ five-win season to a horrible performance at the quarterback position. Though, Bowles, a defensive-minded head coach, saw a major downtick in production on that side of the ball.
This all comes on the heels of a 10-win 2015 campaign that had the Jets thinking playoffs heading into 2016.
Seen by some as in over his head, Bowles hasn’t exactly inspired confidence from the fan base in New Jersey. With that said, one down season after a surprising 2015 performance likely wasn’t enough for the Jets’ brass to justify moving on from him.
