The San Diego Padres are nearing a deal with Korean closer Woo Suk Go, MLB Network reported Wednesday.

The 25-year-old right-hander spent the past seven seasons with the LG Twins of the Korean Baseball Organization.

Go, whose brother-in-law is San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee, had a 3.68 ERA in 44 innings last season.

His numbers were down from 2022 when he posted 42 saves and a 1.48 ERA with 80 strikeouts in 60 2/3 innings.

Go was 19-26 with 139 saves and a 3.18 ERA in 354 career relief appearances.
