There is so much smoke surrounding the New York Giants and Odell Beckham Jr. right now that it’s impossible not to think there’s a good chance he gets traded this offseason.
Despite reports that the Giants aren’t actively seeking a trade for the superstar receiver, Jeff Howe of The Athletic is hearing that New York is “still involved in trade discussions with Odell Beckham Jr.”

The biggest hurdle teams will have to overcome in a deal is that they’ll have to offer significant compensation to entice the Giants to eat more than $16 million in dead cap in any potential trade.
Yet some teams have both the draft capital and the cap space to make such a deal come to fruition. One team in particular has been long mentioned as being particularly interested in making a deal, though at this point it’s all smoke and mirrors.
