Report: Odell Beckham Jr. expected to be ready for Browns voluntary practices

Cleveland Browns fans are super stoked about their newest wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. It appears the feeling is mutual when it comes to OBJ being pumped about playing in Cleveland.

General manager John Dorsey had this to say about Beckham at the NFL Annual meetings.

“He’s excited,’’ Dorsey said, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.” “There’s a genuine excitement there. There’s familiarity with some teammates. There’s familiarity with his position coach. I’m sure he’s … he’s got a relationship with Baker so I’m sure he’s excited to be part of this new beginning for him.’’

One of those teammates in which OBJ has worked with before is former LSU classmate Jarvis Landry.

As it pertains to OJB practicing soon with his new team, Dorsey said he expects him to be there on April 1 when voluntary activities begin.

Dorsey also said he sensed no push back on Beckham’s end as far as being traded, and that the conversation with him went well.

“No, it was a really engaging conversation,’’ said Dorsey. “It’s a chance for him to meet the organization and see who we’re all about, and what we’re all about.”

Soon enough, the Browns will begin gathering for the offseason program. That’s when we will see Beckham interacting live with quarterback Baker Mayfield and Co.

Beckham joins a Browns franchise that legitimately has a chance of winning the AFC North this year.

When was the last time we could say this?
