The troubled career of former Miami Dolphins running back Mark Walton could now very well be over.
Currently serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct and substance abuse policies, Walton was released by the Dolphins earlier on Tuesday.
We now know why. According to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640, Walton was arrested in South Florida Tuesday morning for allegedly punching a woman several times in the face of and head. Police say the woman is five weeks pregnant with their child.
If true, Walton should forget about his NFL career. He will rightfully be spending some time behind bars.
Walton, 22, was a fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2018. He was released prior to this season after a plethora of off-field incidents.
We’ll obviously have more on this story as it develops. For now, it’s just ugly.
