Raiders’ Jonathan Abrams calls new stadium ‘the new Death Star’

The Las Vegas Raiders have a brand new stadium set to open officially ahead of the 2020 season, and safety Jonathan Abram has come up with an amazing name for the new venue.

Speaking with Ian Rapoport on his podcast, Abram said, “The new stadium is unreal,” and called it “The Death Star, where dreams come to die.”

The stadium is an amazing piece of art, as you can see here. And calling it the “Death Star” is fitting considering many in the Black Hole have adopted Darth Vader as a game-day figure in the stands.

The new stadium probably will end up becoming a place “where dreams come to die.” Whether it’s where the Raiders or their opponents watch their dreams die remains to be seen.

The Raiders are coming off a disappointing 2019 campaign and reportedly may be looking to replace Derek Carr with a six-time Super Bowl winner. So, the team may have a lot more “new” than just the new stadium in 2020. Dream on, Raider Nation!
