Raiders’ Gabe Jackson fined $30K for making contact with ref

Oakland Raiders offensive guard Gabe Jackson has been fined $30,387 for making contact with an official during the Aqib Talib/Michael Crabtree fracas last weekend.

There has been some debate about whether Jackson should have been suspended for his action. In fact, NFL officials are upset he wasn’t suspended.

In the end, likely due to the fact he was ejected in the game, Jackson got off with a stiff fine, instead.

Crabtree will be out this week after having his two-game suspension reduced to one game. Additionally, Oakland will be without starting receiver Amari Cooper, who has a concussion and an ankle injury stemming from the hit that knocked him unconscious last Sunday.
