Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen will audition for a Monday Night Football gig on ESPN. Though, this does not mean that Olsen is planning on ditching his NFL career.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 33-year-old tight end is very much committed to playing for the Panthers next season and beyond.
#Panthers TE Greg Olsen is auditioning for and ESPN broadcast job today, as @AndrewMarchand said… but sources say he has committed to play for Carolina for 2018 and beyond. This is about life after football, not next year.

It makes sense that Olsen is attempting to prepare for his future for when he plans to eventually retire. Olsen also seems to like the idea of a football career in the booth after serving as a guest analyst for Fox last season.
We wish Olsen all the best as he attempts to secure a career beyond professional football.
