6 Bold WWE Money in the Bank 2023 predictions, including upset wins for Usos and Dom Mysterio

With this year’s edition of the popular summer event nearly here, we offer up four bold WWE Money in the Bank 2023 predictions.

On July 1, the professional wrestling world leader returns to the United Kingdom and the O2 Arena for the premium live event Money in the Bank 2023. The card is led by traditional men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches that will give the winner a contract to face a champion of their choice in the next year.

The event from London will also include a “Civil War” showdown when former Bloodline linchpins The Usos faceoff against their cousin, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and their younger brother Solo Sikoa.

With that in mind, we make a slew of bold predictions for the 2023 edition of WWE Money in the Bank.

The Usos continue revenge tour with a win over Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa

The legendary Bloodline storyline has its next major chapter on July 1 when the four relatives collide in a main event clash at Money in the Bank 2023. After a few weeks of speculation and hints, multi-time tag champion Jey Uso made his choice, and it was hit twin brother Jimmy. Now, the future Hall-of-Fame tag team is firmly against their cousin and brother and will go toe-to-toe with them at MITB.

This story is far from done and there is a clear sense that “Main Event” Jey Uso will have a solo rematch with the “Tribal Chief” in the near future. Nearly three years after he first fought Reigns for the title and became the right-hand man, look for The Usos to score a shocking win and set up Reigns vs. Uso II at Summerslam.

Dominick Mysterio gets a beastly assist in a win over Cody Rhodes

One of the biggest favorites to win at Money in the Bank is top babyface Cody Rhodes, and it is understandable why. He is facing Judgement Day’s Dominick Mysterio in what should be a glorified squash match. However, Rey Mysterio’s son has been impressive of late and certainly will have a spotlight to shine some more on Saturday, and he likely will get the win too.

No, Mysterio will not secure victory cleanly. There are rumblings Brock Lesnar could make an appearance at the event and it would be the perfect time to set up the trilogy match with Rhodes that has been rumored for weeks at Summerslam. Being a part of an embarrassing loss to Mysterio would be a perfect way to start the build to their third match.

Damian Priest wins men’s Money in the Bank 2023 match

This year’s Money in the Bank match is a great showcase of mid-card talent. There is no former world champion and the most notable accolade among them is Shinsuke Nakamura’s Royal Rumble victory. And following the late addition of Logan Paul, this is one of the more hard-to-predict men’s Money in the Bank matches in quite some time — which is a great thing for fans.

Damian Priest has been fantastic over the last few months and reportedly has impressed his superiors. A Nakamura win could be possible due to his recent push, and the match does have some serious dark horses in LA Knight and Paul that are worth taking seriously as the potential winner. However, in the end, Priest needs it and probably deserves it the most.

Plus, there have been cracks showing between the friendship of Priest and Finn Balor, and a MITB win will likely further the growing divide.

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor ends in DQ and sets up a rematch at Summerslam

The lone world title match at MITB will be a battle between a pair of diehard fan favorites when Seth Rollins defends his title against Judgement Day’s Finn Balor. The bout is a rematch seven years in the making and will be the Irishman’s first real attempt at a major title in a couple of years.

If this match doesn’t steal the show and deliver a clinic in wrestling it would be surprising. However, don’t expect this one to get a definitive end. Like many second-tier events, they set up matches for the big shows. Look for Judgement Day to get involved and create the beginning stages of a gimmick rematch at Summerslam.

Iyo Sky wins women’s 2023 Money in the Bank match

Unlike the men’s Money in the Bank 2023 match, the ladies’ version does have a trio of future Hall-of-Fame-level, multi-time world champions in Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and Bayley. However, none of the three will win on July 1. This match will totally be used to set up a new star, give them some major clout going forward, and continue an ongoing storyline.

There is clearly developing issues between Damage Control member Iyo Sky and Bayley. Expect those issues to come to a head at MITB, but for the rising star in Sky to get the briefcase at the end of the match.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan regain women’s tag team championships

The week before WWE Money in the Bank 2023, the company announced that the women’s tag team titles would also be up for grabs at the event. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have done well as the current tag champions. And they have been great at helping establish the pair of teams that joined the main roster from NXT.

However, in their recent title defenses, it seems like the story that is being told is of champions that have been barely holding on to their gold. It would be fitting for them to finally give up the titles to the team that lost them due to an injury. Look for Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan to regain the belts but the match to step up a long-term feud between the two teams.
