Milwaukee Bucks linked to 5x NBA All-Star

Despite earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks got bounced in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Miami Heat. While we didn’t realize the Heat would go on to compete in the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets at the time, when Milwaukee got eliminated, it felt like a big loss.

Now after several moments of reflection following their coaching change from Mike Budenholzer to Adrian Griffin, now it’s time to make roster moves. We know Giannis Antetokounmpo is cemented in Milwaukee, but Khris Middleton is set for free agency, which could lead to some significant changes.

While he wouldn’t be a replacement, one potential complementary solution could be to add five-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love, who’s also set for free agency this summer.

According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, the soon-to-be- 35-year-old power forward is generating interest from several NBA teams, including the Bucks. Another outcome could land Love back in Miami with the Heat, helping them try and get back to the NBA Finals.

Love likely isn’t looking at a starting role no matter where he lands this offseason, but the gifted passer, rebounder and outside shooter could still help a number of contenders looking for a valued veteran off the bench.

Having won an NBA championship in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Love doesn’t necessarily need to chase a ring, but judging off his decision to latch on with the Heat late last season, he appears to prioritize a chance to compete for another title.
