Mackenzie Hughes withdrew from the Travelers Championship after his first round on Thursday due to an illness.
Hughes recorded a triple-bogey on No. 7 and double-bogey on No. 15 en rote to finishing 6-over-par 76 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
The 32-year-old Canadian resides 68th in the Official World Golf Ranking and has two career wins on the PGA Tour. He captured The RSM Classic in November 2016 and the Sanderson Farms Championship in October 2022.
