G2 Esports, Natus Vincere and Berlin International Gaming (BIG) each swept through the competition during the Last Chance Matches Sunday to secure the final three spots in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals.
G2 cruised past Made in Brazil (MIBR) 16-5 on Ancient and 16-6 on Inferno.
G2’s Nikola “NiKo” Kovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina paced the victors with a plus-18 and a 43-25 kills-to-deaths ratio. Teammates Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov of Russia and Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac of Bosnia each finished plus-15, while Matheus “Tuurtle” Anhaia led MIBR with 26 kills.
Natus Vincere defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas 16-6 on Nuke before inching past them 16-14 on Overpass.
All five players for Natus Vincere exceeded 30 kills, led by Ukraine’s Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev with 50 (plus-22) and Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy with 48 (plus-22).
Denmark’s Patrick “es3tag” Hansen and Sweden’s Hampus “hampus” Poser paced Ninjas with 35 kills apiece.
BIG got past Astralis 16-14 on Ancient and 16-9 on Dust II. The German squad was led by outstanding performances from Florian “syrsoN” Rische (plus-17) and Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz (46 kills).
Benjamin “blameF” Bremer of Denmark was a force for Astralis in the loss, posting a K-D ratio of 49-31 (plus-18).
G2, Natus Vincere and BIG earned the final three spots in the $425,000 Spring Finals in June, with the bottom six teams in the competition falling to the Spring Showdown instead.
