Update: Chargers announce Donald Parham has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham was having himself a career season heading into Thursday night’s affair with the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs.

The former Stetson standout has recorded 20 catches for 190 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. Parham was looking to add to that touchdown total with the Chargers facing a fourth-and-goal from the Chiefs five in the first quarter.

Now, we’re not worried about his stats or the game. In an attempt to come down with a pass from Justin Herbert, Donald Parham hit his head hard on the turf at SoFi Stadium in Southern California. As you will be able to see below, he laid motionless in the end zone for a while. It’s about as scary of a situation that you will see on an NFL field.

As the camera angle zoomed, Parham was seen out cold with his hands over his head and in a completely motionless state. Chargers players had not initally realized what happened.

Ultimately, Parham was stetchered off the field with his entire upper body shaking.

We’ll obviously have further updates on this scary situation. For now, our thoughts are with Donald Parham.
