Dillon Brooks ejected 5 minutes into Houston Rockets career for low blow

Veteran forward Dillon Brooks did not even make it a full commercial break into his Houston Rockets career without creating even more drama.

Brooks, 27 was acquired by Houston in a three-team trade with the Memphis Grizzlies this past sumer after a drama-filled career in Tennessee.

Early on during Tuesday’s preseason game against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, Brooks got caught up with big man Daniel Theis. He ended up landing a low blow in the direction of the big man’s private parts. It was not good.

Officials on hand in Houston went to review after the elbow to Theis’ junk, ultimately ejecting Brooks for a Flagrant 2.

Throughout his six-year career with the Grizzlies, Dillon Brooks found himself at the center of a ton of drama. Ultimately, it led to Memphis’ brass deciding to move off the former second-round pick from Oregon altogether.

It was back in the spring that Brooks was ejected during an NBA Playoff game for taking a shot at LeBron James groin during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He was suspended late in the regular season for receiving an 18th technical foul, too.

Brooks’ actions have in the past caught the attention of follow NBA players.

“You want to talk about his reputation? Ask other players in the league about him. … Dillon’s reputation also is that he is a, to be polite, a borderline dirty player and borderline’s being very polite.”

It doesn’t look like this reputation is going to change any time soon based on Brooks’ actions Tuesday night.
