Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will be donating $1,000 for each touchdown he scores in October to the AVDA-Aid — a charity that helps victims of domestic abuse.

Whether you are a Texans fan or not, I think we can all agree we’d love to see Hopkins have a tremendous October this year.

Despite being one of the best receivers in the NFL, Hopkins isn’t being paid like one. In fact, he held the shortest holdout in NFL history (probably) when he missed a day this summer protesting his current deal.

With that in mind, it’s all the more touching that his heart is set on helping those who have suffered under the heavy yoke of domestic abuse.
