Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum has been ruled out of Wednesday’s game against the host Sacramento Kings due to a left ankle sprain.

Tatum limped to the locker room with 7:45 remaining in the first quarter of Boston’s 132-126 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday before returning to start the second quarter. He was able to finish the game, recording 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Tatum, 25, boasts team-best averages in points (26.8) and rebounds (8.7) to go along with 4.2 assists in 26 games (all starts) this season.

The Celtics also announced centers Al Horford (rest) and Luke Kornet (left adductor strain) will sit out Wednesday’s game against the Kings.

Horford, 37, is contributing 7.7 points and 7.1 rebounds in 23 games (nine starts) this season.

Kornet, 28, is averaging 4.4 points and 3.3 boards in 17 games off the bench.
