The Buffalo Bills were expected to host the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday afternoon inside Highmark Stadium in Western New York.

That game was postponed until Monday due to a severe winter storm that is wreaking havoc on the region. In fact, New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency while issuing a travel ban in Erie County.

The decision to postpone this NFL Playoff game was probably rooted in reality. Want to know why? Check out the scene inside Highmark Stadium Saturday evening. It is absolutely insane. In fact, it looks like something on another planet.

Imagine attempting to play a football game in this. The Buffalo Bills wouldn’t score a point. The Pittsburgh Steelers would be shutout. They’d be playing until the end of time.

“Due to public safety concerns in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York, Sunday’s Steelers-Bills game has been rescheduled to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by CBS,” the NFL and the Bills announced on Saturday. “The decision to move the game to Monday was made in consultation with New York Governor Kathy Hochul in the best interest of public safety, and with the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the region prepares for the storm.”

Imagine that. Politicians and the NFL making a sound decision. Hell has indeed frozen over. Just check out Buffalo right now.
