Garrett will receive $30.4 million guaranteed over four seasons with a team option for a fifth year. That’s the structure the NFL put in place when the 2011 collective bargaining agreement was signed.
Garrett will likely start at defensive end for the Browns out of the gate. And while he has recently attempted to temper expectations, fans in Cleveland should be excited about his presence.
The former Aggie standout put up 31 sacks and 47 tackles for loss in three seasons at Texas A&M. He was the consensus No. 1 overall player in the draft and boasts All-Pro potential out of the gate.
