New Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett continues to build his first coaching staff, adding Andrew Carter as defensive quality control coach on Tuesday.

Carter spent the 2020-21 seasons as a graduate assistant at Kansas. He accepted the job as defensive line coach at Tennessee-Martin before deciding to join the Broncos instead.

Among the members of Hackett’s staff are defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, offensive coordinator Justin Outten, special teams coordinator Dwayne Stukes, passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Klint Kubiak, and running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley.

The Broncos hired Hackett on Jan. 27 to replace Vic Fangio, who was fired after three seasons and a 19-30 record.
