Known for its confounding zone, Syracuse has gone Triple Boeheim.

Jimmy Boeheim confirmed via Instagram he’s joining the family affair with the Orange basketball team to playing alongside his brother, Buddy, for their father, Jim.

Jimmy Boeheim is a transfer from Cornell and the 6-foot-8 forward is one year removed from averaging 16.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in 2019-20. Ivy League basketball was canceled last season due to COVID-19.

“It just feels right,” Jimmy Boeheim told the Syracuse Post-Standard. “I can’t wait. I’m really just counting down the days when I can get into the Melo Center. Just picturing my name on a locker there. My name on the back of a jersey. It’s honestly surreal. I never expected this was going to happen. My plan was always to stay at Cornell, graduate and use my eligibility up there. But given the circumstances of the last year, here we are. I really can’t wait. I’m counting down the minutes.”

The Orange also recently added Villanova transfer Cole Swider and has a top 30 freshman recruit in Benny Williams.

Buddy Boeheim averaged 17.8 points this season as a junior for the Orange.
