Fresh off joining teammate Joel Embiid in some elite company, Philadelphia 76ers center Boban Marjanovic could be out for an extended amount of time after suffering an injury during Monday night’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Marjanovic will be reevaluated in 5-7 days after tests showed said injury was a right knee sprain.

Given his size at 7-foot-3, Philadelphia would be smart to play it close to the vest with Boban.

Head coach Brett Brown has given the center more playing time since he was acquired from the Clippers earlier in February.

It was just a couple games ago that Marjanovic dropped 19 points and 12 boards in a win over the Miami Heat. He’s scored 10-plus points in four of the past seven games and is set to play a big role behind Embiid as Philadelphia makes its championship push.
