John Harbaugh after Ravens loss: ‘I have every plan to be here’

Head coach John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens took one on the chin Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Playing at home after winning the AFC North, Baltimore dropped the wild-card game by the score of 23-17. It was a game that saw Baltimore struggle big time on offense before a last-ditch comeback effort came up short.

The backstory here is obvious. Multiple reports have indicated that other teams are interested in trading for Harbaugh. There’s also some question relating to whether the Ravens actually want him back long term.

Talking to the media after Sunday’s season-ending loss, Harbaugh made it clear that he’s committed to the Ravens. He also noted that Baltimore’s brass has said it wants him back.

One could easily conclude that this is Harbaugh’s way of playing the media. He’s not going to openly talk about what’s happening behind the scenes.

What we do know is that the Super Bowl-winning head coach is in extension talks with the Ravens. Should those fall flat, it might be time to rehash the possibility that Harbaugh’s future in Baltimore is up in the air.

Until then, it seems to be all smoke and no fire.
