Report: Multiple teams inquiring about Ravens’ John Harbaugh

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh

There’s still no real signs out of Baltimore that the Ravens are looking to move on from longtime head coach John Harbaugh.

Speculation has come up that the team might look to trade him. But there’s nothing concrete coming from the organization or the head coach himself.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, this has not stopped multiple teams from considering the possibility of trading for the Super Bowl winning head coach.

“In fact, two NFL teams with current head-coaching openings are strongly considering that possibility, according to a league source,” Schefter reported.

We rarely see head coaches traded in the NFL. The most notorious example is when the Oakland Raiders dealt Jon Gruden to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2002.

One of the most-respected head coaches in the NFL, Harbaugh would act like an upgrade for all eight teams looking to hire someone here within the next month or so.

The Ravens and Harbaugh are currently in negotiations on an extension. Should things fall through on that end, maybe more reports of a potential trade pop up. Until then, it’s mere speculation.

Baltimore hosts the Los Angeles Chargers in an AFC Wild Card battle Sunday afternoon. No matter what happens in the game, Harbaugh will probably be faced with a ton of questions after it concludes.
