After Tuesday night’s bench-clearing brawl, San Francisco Giants outfielder Andrew McCutchen took to Instagram to share his perspective of what happened.
As the 31-year-old describes, he was just standing in outfield thinking about his last at-bat when he heard fans going crazy. Then he looked up to see Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig and Giants catcher Nick Hundley going at it.

All of a sudden, McCutchen felt the breeze of players running out of the bullpen towards the action and he quickly followed behind.
By the time McCutchen got there, everyone was just standing around and talking. Though the All-Star outfielder thought about trying to cheer everyone up with a karate move.
The best part of the video, McCutchen comparing an outfielder’s role showing up in a brawl to a kid showing up late for a birthday party and all the cake is gone.
