WATCH: Benches-clearing brawl between Giants and Dodgers

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

On Tuesday night, the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers rivalry boiled over into a benches-clearing brawl.

During the seventh inning, Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was frustrated with himself when he missed a pitch. After stepping out of the dugout, Giants catcher Nick Hundley exchanged words him. That’s when things escalated into chaos.

After they exchanged shoves, Puig threw the first blow with a slap to Hundley’s body. Then the benches emptied and a mob of pushing and shoving carried over into the backstop.

During the skirmish, Puig went after Hundley again as teammates attempted to pull him back. The outfielder then got an arm free, pulled his hand back and slapped Hundley in the helmet.

Both Puig and Hundley were immediately ejected from the game and MLB will likely hand down discipline on Wednesday.
