Bills DL Adolphus Washington arrested on weapons charge

Adolphus Washington of the Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Adolphus Washington was arrested on Sunday in Cincinnati on a firearms charge at a waterpark.

Washington has been accused of carrying a concealed firearm near the Splash Park at 11320 Chester Road in Cincinnati, according to Bob Strickley of Cincinnati.com.

“According to a Sharonville police report, Washington around 10 p.m. Sunday ‘reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle; just feet away from officers. The suspect did not inform officers beforehand.'”

Police were at the waterpark at the time of Washington’s arrest to clear out a crowd. He was later released by police the same evening.

It’s not Washington’s first brush with the law, as he previously was arrested for solicitation of prostitution back in December of 2015. That arrest occurred while he was still a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and it resulted in his suspension from the Fiesta Bowl that season.

A third-round pick by the Bills last year, Washington appeared in 15 games and started 11, tallying 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
