One big item of news surrounding the Dallas Cowboys in recent weeks is whether the NFL will decide to suspend running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Pending a final decision, owner Jerry Jones says that he does not think a suspension will be handed down.

That’s easy to say and obviously the best-case scenario when for the defending NFC East champions.
Elliott was legally cleared of domestic abuse allegations his ex-girlfriend made last summer. However, the league could still decide to suspend Elliott if it feels he has violated the personal conduct policy. The Cowboys, perhaps bracing for a possible suspension, added extra running back depth.
A decision is expected soon. The Cowboys best chance continue last season’s success is to have Elliott present and playing in Week 1.
