Jonathan Kraft throws tremendous shade Ryan Grigson’s way

Robert Kraft

Let it never be said Jonathan Kraft doesn’t know how to hold a grudge.

The New England Patriots owner’s son was asked about Ryan Grigson being fired Sunday before his team hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game. Specifically, he was asked how the former Indianapolis Colts general manager losing his job affected the infamous Deflategate game.

His response was tremendous.

For those who might not be aware, as the story goes Grigson forwarded a rumor, which John Harbaugh apparently had told him, to the NFL that the Patriots might be deflating footballs ahead of the 2014 AFC Championship Game. That got the ball rolling on the ridiculously long investigation that resulted in Tom Brady being suspended four games and the Patriots losing a couple draft picks (including a first-rounder) and being fined.

Needless to say, Kraft isn’t a big fan of Grigson and doesn’t seem to be broken up about the fact that he’s no longer employed — something he shares with Colts punter Pat McAfee. Given the way he responded here, we can’t wait for the inevitable day when Roger Goodell loses power.
