Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater sat out last week’s game with a mysterious shoulder injury.

It ended up being nothing more than a sore shoulder, but the team’s initial public response to the injury left many with questions (more on that here).

The good news here is that Teddy is planning to play this week after being sidelined in Minnesota’s second preseason game.

That’s some relatively big news for the defending NFC North champions. The third preseason game is used as a tune up for the regular season. If Bridgewater was unable to go, it would have told us that he might have been suffering through more than a sore shoulder.

Minnesota is expecting big things from Bridgewater after he put up a less-than-stellar 2015 campaign.

Being able to see the field for extended action against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday should help him start the season out strong.
