WATCH: Video proof opposing defenses know Lions’ play-calls before the snap

Matthew Stafford

A few weeks ago after the New York Jets embarrassed the Detroit Lions on national television, Jets defenders said they knew what Detroit was going to run before the plays occurred.

After that game, a number of Jets players said that formations, plus Matthew Stafford’s hand signals, gave those plays away.

Of course, the Lions denied this was possible. Now we have some pretty compelling truth to the contrary. Just watch as a New England Patriots defender calls out “It’s a toss!” right before the Lions run a toss play.

Not surprisingly, this play was gobbled up by Detroit’s defense.

Clearly, the Lions have to change some things up. Because if this type of transparency is a regular thing throughout the season, it’s going to be another long one for them and their fans.
