UPDATE: Trevor Lawrence returned to the game just before the half, allowing everyone in Jacksonville to breathe a sigh of relief. C.J. Beathard went 2-of-2 for 33 yards in his absence.

Facing the Buffalo Bills today, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence just went down with an ankle injury in the second quarter.

The injury occurred after appearing to collide with his offensive lineman, Walker Little after a short completion to Marvin Jones Jr.

Lawrence was unable to put any pressure on his right leg. The former Clemson star had to be helped back to the locker room for further evaluation.

Backup quarterback, C.J. Beathard has entered the game, replacing Lawrence. For now, Lawrence is questionable to return. We’ll keep you updated on the rookie quarterback’s status going forward.
