WATCH: Russell Henley damages Augusta cup with pinpoint eagle at No. 5

Russell Henley was the last man to qualify for the 2017 Masters. And while he won’t win the tournament, he’s made a lasting impact on the course at Augusta.

Henley’s approach shot to the par-four fifth hole was on the money. He not only holed the shot, but landed it right in the hole.

While a few groups would play the hole after, it was eventually determined that Henley’s shot damaged the hole.

This led to a committee of greenskeepers marching out to cut a brand new hole. Certainly, this is not something you see every day, especially in a major championship.
