WATCH: Peyton Manning decks Donte ‘Hitner’ Whitner

Remember the time Donte Whitner wanted to change his last name to “Hitner?”

He ended up dropping the entire act before the 2014 season, but said “I think the majority of people will call me ‘Hitner’ regardless,” via ESPN.com.

Um…maybe not after Sunday, Mr. Whitner.

The hard-hitting safety, who is known for laying the wood on unsuspecting receivers coming over the middle, got laid out on Sunday by none other than Peyton Manning.

Oh. My. Goodness.

Whitner never had a chance. And Manning, well, we’ll just assume he was sporting the biggest grin known to mankind after seeing Whitner go down.

And, just for good measure, the old quarterback still managed to walk out of FirstEnergy Stadium with a big overtime win, despite throwing three interceptions.
