Patrick Reed was 1 up on Charl Schwartzel on the 18th hole during Thursday’s match at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. He closed it out in grand fashion.
Needing only to halve the hole to guarantee a win, Reed’s approach shot did everything but go in the hole.
Ball game.

The shot even drew a nice reaction from Reed’s opponent.

Shots like this only help increase Reed’s reputation as a fearsome match play competitor.
With the 1 up win, Reed moved to 2-0 in group play. He will take on frequent Ryder Cup teammate Jordan Spieth on Friday, with the winner advancing out of group play and into the knockout stage.
