The New York Giants and their fans lost their collective breath for a minute Monday night when Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a blow to his knee.
Beckham Jr. was going up for a catch when Briean Boddy-Calhoun hit him with the crown of his helmet.
He fell to the ground on the field before getting up and walking off the field. Shortly afterward, he jogged to the locker room but didn’t quite make it, falling to his knees in the service tunnel.
He wasn’t moving very well after this, and someone had to help the receiver to the locker room.
The Giants say Odell Beckham Jr. suffered an ankle injury. He was also being evaluated for a concussion. He won’t return to this game.

Obviously, any long-term injury would be devastating to Odell Beckham Jr. and to the Giants. He’s one of the best receivers in the NFL and can turn any game up side down with one big play.
