WATCH: Mitchell Trubisky throws first TD, scores on trick 2-point conversion

Can Mitchell Trubisky now win Bears starting QB job? NFL preseason Week 1

It took most of the game, but Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky threw his first career touchdown pass on Monday. He hit tight end Zach Miller on a 20-yard pass, getting a friendly bounce along the way.

Only, Trubisky wasn’t done there. In football’s version of three-card monte, the quarterback took a pitch and ran into the end zone to tie the game.

The rookie quarterback has certainly had his struggles in his NFL debut. But he’s also shown some glimpses of being the franchise quarterback that Chicago gave up so much to draft.
