Maryland Terrapins running back Ty Johnson is a phenomenal playmaker, and he demonstrated it once again on Saturday with an explosive 64-yard touchdown run against Rutgers.
Late in the first quarter, Johnson burst through a wide opening hole on the right side then let his speed do the rest and left every defender in a cloud of dust on his way to the end zone.

The big play has been a staple of Johnson’s career at Maryland. In fitting fashion, his 64-yard score also helped him reach the 4,000-yard mark in all-purpose yards for his career.
Johnson is off to another explosive start this season as the lead back in Maryland’s offense as his yards per carry continues to soar this season. Terrapins fans have to be excited for more explosive plays to come in the senior’s final season.
